[SOLUCIONADO] Configuración para John the Ripper

Muy buenos días, soy nuevo en esto del hacking ético, y quisiera saber si m pueden guiar como tengo que configurar la herramienta John The Ripper la idea es usarla contra la máquina metaesploitable2.
Estoy siendo lo más autodidacta posible pero se me terminaron las ideas jajaja. También agradezco si pueden sumar algún manual para leer de está misma herramienta o de Gusta.
